Sunday night's gathering at THE PLANET in Hoboken, NJ was a success and surprises for all. John was on stage to perform a few tunes for the crowd, Smokin' Joe Frasier, former Boxing Heavy Weight World Champion, stopped by to listen to the great music, enjoy a beer, sign some autographs, and offer John best wishes. The donations were amazing and the music...well...What can I say about The Music? There was a lot of talent, musicianship and inventiveness on the stage that night. Here is a sampling of what we were treated to in the four sets:

Air Dogs First Set: Hard Rock at its best. Center Set: Ethan Fiks and Pete Lippach - Guitar Duo. In celebration of the holiday spirit in jazz form. Supported by laptop driven "Band In a Box."
The Air Dogs are:
- Mike Freemantle - Rhythm Guitar, Sounds and organizer for this gig (Thanks Mike).

There are some very special people on this small planet. Jennifer and Thomas Cangelosi from Turnersville, NJ gathered their co-workers and asked for personal donations to help us. The response was unexpected and gratifying. Jen & Tom, you represent the best of the human spirit. You had an idea of how to help and you put the idea to work. You are truly Johns Friends. Thank you. |

On 11/4/00 Ron had the opportunity to talk to the host of the WNTI "Tower Of Babble" radio show Rob Barth. Our topic, as if you didnt know, was "Johns Friends - The John Lucchesi Lung transplant Fund".
Rob gave us the chance to tell his listeners about our needs, Cystic Fibrosis and CF lung transplants, and sharing our experiences about forming a non-profit support group.
Rob is a unique host, on a unique radio station. Youll find WNTI at 91.9 FM. Its FM audience covers southern NY state, western NJ and eastern PA, and worldwide on the internet at www.wnti.org/wnti2/. Of course you need RealPlayer to hear it off the net. |
